Course Descriptions

MATH 202—HONORS GEOMETRY

In this course, emphasis is placed on the development of an organized mathematical system that interrelates the study of geometry with the student’s knowledge of algebra. Students will be actively involved in a logical, sequential development of geometry and will be expected to develop skills necessary to master the process of deductive reasoning as well as the application of geometric principles.

MATH 254 - ALGEBRA III AND TRIGONOMETRY AI

Topics included in this course are polynomials, coordinate geometry, functions and relations, equation solving, graphing, exponents, logarithms, circular functions and trigonometry. THIS COURSE IS NOT A PREPARATION FOR CALCULUS. Note: Student is required to have a TI-83 Plus graphing calculator.

MATH 233 - ALGEBRA II AI

This course builds upon the skills learned in Algebra I AI. The basic topics studied during this year include operations with polynomials, factoring, coordinate geometry, relations functions, quadratic equations, rational expressions, real exponents, and logarithms. Note: Student is required to have a TI– 83 Plus graphing calculator.
